About Us

The process of naming their small batch coffee roastery was the hardest, Mary says. “We tried many different names, asked friends, sent out surveys and had focus groups.” Brad landed on Solid Cup to align with their goal of creating a solid cup of coffee for all to enjoy.

Mary worked at a coffee shop in her hometown in Ukraine. There she became fascinated with the process and says one of her favorite parts of coffee roasting is learning about the farms on which the coffee is grown. Bradley enjoys the science of roasting with different beans, temperatures and time frames. Together, the couple enjoys traveling and seeking out coffee shops along the way.

Mary and Bradley met in Ukraine and married in 2014. Bradley is originally from the United States and the couple chose to settle in Oklahoma together. The two enjoy traveling and visited coffee shops around the United States. On their travels they found inspiration to roast coffee themselves. They consider coffee roasting to be an adventure.

Mary and Bradley roast small batches of coffee in a multifunctional space with an art and music studio. They place a high value on community and found coffee to be a natural way of gathering people of different backgrounds together with the shared love of a Solid Cup of Coffee.

About the artwork:
Maryna Hrytsai, is a friend of Mary from Ukraine. Mary admired Maryna’s art, especially her work with colored pencils, and asked her to create a drawing for the label incorporating a cup of coffee and coffee plant. To Mary’s surprise, Maryna created seven original pieces of art using various art mediums.
Marissa Udeme, a friend of Mary and Bradley, created the packaging, incorporating Maryna’s artwork.
